St. Paul, MN. (May 7, 2008). Western Bank announced today that Carol Maloney, VP of commercial banking, recently received the Woman of Achievement award at the 2008 Minnesota National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Annual Awards Gala. Recipients of the award were selected based on their outstanding contributions to their company. Awarded for their energy, leadership abilities, enthusiasm and accomplishments, these individuals stand out at their jobs to both co-workers and clients.

Maloney was one of five women to receive the award and has been with Western Bank for the past eight years. “I work with business owners to help them manage their cash and debt in such a way that maximizes both their efficiency and profitability,” said Maloney. “My goal is to help them succeed, and to be a trusted banking advisor.”

Held at International Market Square in Minneapolis, the Annual Awards Gala marked its 31st anniversary with a Women Mean Business theme at this year’s event. There were 16 award categories honoring women business entrepreneurs across Minnesota.
