July 24, 2008: Western Bank Elects J. Bruce Kimmel to its Board of Directors

St. Paul, MN. (July 24, 2008). Western Bank is pleased to announce that Bruce Kimmel has been elected to Western Bank’s Board of Directors. Mr. Kimmel graduated with a Masters Degree in Public Policy from Harvard University. He is a Senior Financial Advisor with Ehlers & Associates, a municipal advisory firm based in Roseville, Minnesota. Kimmel assist cities, counties and other governmental entities with financing capital improvements, long-term fiscal planning, affordable housing and economic development. He is a Certified Independent Public Finance Advisor and participates in numerous governmental finance and development associations.

“Bruce brings a wealth of knowledge in finance, government and economic development to our board,” noted Julie Sands Causey, Chairman. “All of Bruce’s experience dovetails nicely with Western’s vision and direction as an organization. His perspectives will be invaluable.”

When asked about his new role at Western Bank Kimmel replied, “I’m excited to use my experience with government and development finance to advance Western Bank’s efforts, particularly in business lending and neighborhood development.
