April 20, 2009: Western Bank's Doris Bevers Receives NAWBO Award
St. Paul, MN. (April 20, 2009). Western Bank announced today that Doris Bevers, VP of commercial banking, recently received the Woman of Achievement award at the 2009 Minnesota National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Annual Awards Gala. Recipients of the award were selected based on contributions they have made to the Minnesota business community and culture, as well as to the larger national and global economies. These pioneering women have forged their own paths to success and carved out new rules in business with intelligence, compassion and courage.
Bevers was one of 11 women to receive the award and has been with Western Bank for four years. "Listening to my customers is crucial; they know more than I do about their business," said Bevers. "It's very rewarding when business owners I work with achieve more success and grow their business each year."
Held at the Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis, the Annual Awards Gala marked its 32nd anniversary with an Uncommon Success in Business theme, presented by Bob Jennings. There were 15 award categories honoring women business entrepreneurs across Minnesota. Western Bank is a corporate partner of the Minnesota chapter of NAWBO and supports the organization's mission to carry out exceptional peer networking, mentoring, leadership training, education and visibility in the media and the community. Western Bank is dedicated to helping women business owners who are committed to the success of their businesses.
