May 26, 2009: Western Bank's Al Emory Receives YMCA Distinguished Leader Award

St. Paul, MN. (May 26, 2009). Western Bank announced today that Al Emory, VP of commercial banking, recently received the Distinguished Leader Award from the YMCA of Greater St. Paul for his involvement as a board member of the Midway Family YMCA and the Y Partners campaign chair. The criteria for Emory's award included the level of YMCA leadership, and also took into consideration years of service, positions of responsibility, unique skills, program leadership and setting standards of excellence.

Emory has been at Western Bank for the past 22 years, and has been involved with the YMCA for three years. "The resources a YMCA provides to the community are essential; the organization's core values can positively impact an individual's life forever," said Emory. "I am honored to be a part of the YMCA, which is just the type of involvement Western Bank encourages and promotes throughout the communities it serves."

There are many volunteers throughout the metro area who serve the YMCA branches continuously. The YMCA is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) social services organization dedicated to building strong kids, strong families and strong communities.
