April 20, 2010: Western Bank's Julie Sands Causey Receives NAWBO Award

St. Paul, MN. (April 20, 2010). Western Bank announced today that Julie Sands Causey, Chairman of Western Bank, recently received the Woman of Achievement award at the 2010 Minnesota National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Achieve! Awards Luncheon event. Recipients of the award were selected based on contributions they have made to the Minnesota business community and culture, as well as to the larger national and global economies. These pioneering women have forged their own paths to success and carved out new rules in business with intelligence, compassion and courage.

Causey was one of several women to receive the award and has been on Western Bank's board since 1999 and Chairman since 2004. "I'm honored to be recognized by this established and successful women-run association,� said Causey. "It's refreshing to see an organization like NAWBO in the forefront of advocating on behalf of women business owners and the issues that impact their companies.�

Held at the Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis, the Achieve! Awards Event celebrated NAWBO's 35th anniversary. There were 12 award categories honoring women business entrepreneurs across Minnesota. Western Bank is a corporate partner of the Minnesota chapter of NAWBO and supports the organization's mission to carry out exceptional peer networking, mentoring, leadership training, education and visibility in the media and the community.
